First, the honest bit: Everhue is currently a test site, shared with friends and family. Payments are simulated — no real money is taken and we never see a real card number. Everything below still applies as if it were the real thing, because your answers deserve that either way.
To create an Essence Print we ask for the recipient's first name, your answers about them (including any stories or personal details you choose to type), and an optional dedication. If you save your print or place a test order, we also collect your name, your email address, and — for printed pieces — a delivery address.
One thing only: making and delivering the print. Your answers shape the artwork and the written tribute; your email lets us send you your order confirmation and, for the Digital Essence, your download link. We don't use your answers for advertising, we don't build profiles, and we don't sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
A few trusted services do specific jobs for us: an AI image service generates the artwork from a structured brief (your typed stories are never sent to it word-for-word), an AI writing service helps polish the tribute, Stripe handles payment (in test mode — your card details never touch our servers even when live), and — once real orders begin — a professional print lab receives the finished print file and delivery address to make and post the piece. Each sees only what it needs for its job.
Your answers, saved prints and orders are stored securely on our server. Because we're testing, we keep them while the test runs so we can improve how prints are made. If you'd like anything removed sooner, one email is all it takes.
None for tracking. The site remembers nothing about you between visits beyond what you've explicitly saved.
Ask us at any time to see what we hold about you or to delete it, and we will — usually within a few days. This is your right under UK data protection law, and also just the decent thing to do.
