To make an Essence Print you tell us about someone you care about. That's a generous thing to hand over, and this page explains exactly what happens to it. No hedging.

We never ask for anything sensitive, and we'd rather you didn't include health details, religious beliefs or anything about children beyond what you'd happily see printed and framed.

We don't advertise to you, we don't build profiles, and we never sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing. Ever.
A small number of services do specific jobs. Each sees only what it needs.

Some of these are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that's the case, transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

None for tracking or advertising. Our analytics work without cookies, which is why you've not been asked to click a cookie banner. Stripe sets what it needs to process a payment securely when you check out.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it in a particular way. Email hello@everhue.co.uk and we'll do it within one month, usually much sooner. It's free.
Two honest limits. We can't delete an order record we're legally required to keep for tax — but we can delete the answers and the artwork attached to it. And once a print has been posted, we can't unsend it.
If you're writing about someone else and they'd like their details removed, ask us and we'll remove them, whether or not you're the one who placed the order.
If you think we've handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Access to order data is restricted and protected by a key. We don't store card details at all. No system is perfect, but we don't keep anything we don't need, and that's the best protection there is.
