Terms of sale

The agreement between us when you order · Updated 1 August 2026

These terms apply when you buy an Essence Print from us. Please read them before you order — when you place an order you're agreeing to them. Nothing here takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

What we sell

Every Essence Print is made from the answers you give us about one particular person. The artwork and the written tribute are generated for that person and nobody else, which means each piece is created individually once you order it.

The Digital Essence£9.99 — two files, delivered immediately: a 300dpi print file sized for A3, and a phone-friendly version
The Mounted Print£34.99 — A3 fine-art print, snow-white mount, bagged with backing board
The Framed Print£69.99 — A3 fine-art print, snow-white mount, black frame, perspex glaze

Prices include UK delivery on printed pieces. Prices may change, but never after you've placed an order.

Placing an order

You see the finished print — artwork, tribute and your message — before you pay anything, and you can ask for up to five different interpretations before choosing. Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email. If we can't fulfil it for any reason, we'll tell you and refund you in full.

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Delivery

Digital files are available immediately after payment, and we email you a link that stays valid.

Printed pieces are made to order by a professional print lab and sent directly to the delivery address you give us. They typically arrive within a week in the UK. If something is going to take noticeably longer, we'll email you.

Please check the delivery address carefully. We can only pass on what you give us, and a parcel sent to a wrong address can't always be recovered.

Cancellation — please read this part

Because every print is made to your specification and is clearly personalised, the usual 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase does not apply to it. This is the exemption at regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

In plain terms: once you order, we can't resell your print to anyone else, so we can't offer a change-of-mind refund. You'll be asked to confirm you understand this at checkout.

For digital files, you get access immediately. By ordering, you're asking us to supply it straight away and accepting that this ends any right to cancel it, which is how regulation 37 of the same rules works.

None of this affects your rights if something is wrong. See below.

If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, as described, and fit for purpose. That applies fully to personalised goods. If your print arrives damaged, misprinted, materially different from what you approved, or doesn't arrive at all, we will replace it or refund you. Your choice.

Email hello@everhue.co.uk within a reasonable time of receiving it, with a photograph if it's a physical fault. We don't ask you to post anything back before we put it right.

If a digital file won't open or download, tell us and we'll fix it or refund you.

What you're giving us

You'll be writing about a real person. By ordering, you confirm that what you write is yours to share, and that it isn't unlawful, abusive, or something that person would object to being used this way.

We may decline an order, and refund it, if the content is offensive or unlawful, or if a print can't be produced for a technical reason.

Who owns the artwork

The artwork and tribute are created for you. You may keep, print, display and give away your Essence Print freely, including printing the digital file as many times as you like for your own and your family's use.

What you can't do is resell it, or use it commercially — on merchandise, in advertising, or as stock artwork — without asking us first. We keep the right to be identified as the maker.

We may show artwork we've produced as examples of our work, but never together with the personal details, story or dedication you wrote. If you'd rather we didn't use yours at all, just say so.

Complaints

Email hello@everhue.co.uk and a real person will read it. We aim to reply within two working days and to resolve things within fourteen days. If you're not satisfied, you can take a consumer complaint to your local Citizens Advice consumer service.
